Be careful of slippery surfaces in winter.

From Daikanbo to Aso Nakadak
It takes about an hour to get from Daikanbo to Aso Nakadake, and we’ll stop for lunch on the way.
Then, on the way to Aso Nakadake, we’ll stop by Kusasenrigahama.
When heading to the crater of Asonakadake, a toll of 1,000 yen for a standard car is required.
Also, because volcanic gases flow from the crater, it may be impossible to view or viewing may be restricted depending on the wind direction, so please check the website (link below) in advance.
However, even if viewing is restricted, it may resume if the wind direction changes. When I went, viewing resumed after about an hour.
Also, people with respiratory (lung) diseases, heart diseases, pacemakers, asthma, and those who are in poor health should refrain from viewing the site.

From Aso Nakadake to Aso Shrine
It takes about 40 minutes from Aso Nakadake to Aso Shrine.
Parking is free for the first 30 minutes. After that, it costs 100 yen per hour.
This is the last spot for today.
